OECD Working Paper on Biodiversity and Development Co-operation

Resource Type:

This paper outlines how development co-operation can: 1) support mainstreaming biodiversity and ecosystem services into development, 2) manage for results, particularly trade-offs and synergies, 3) incorporate monitoring and evaluation approaches into biodiversity-related development co-operation activities, and 4) better align and harmonise providers' activities with partner country priorities.

This paper may be of use to development co-operation agencies, to see good practice examples from other agencies and to gain an understanding of the state of play of development co-operation in this field. This paper may also be of use to developing countries, to get an overview of the various tools and entry points available for mainstreaming and managing for results, and to gain insight into the approach of development co-operation agencies to biodiversity and ecosystem services.
