Description:
This presentation will provide a brief overview of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) - a voluntary, market-based approach to protect forests. This presentation will introduce ways that forests are critical to all life on Earth, describe the Forest Stewardship Council and the roles it plays, describe what leadership looks like in responsible forest management, and explore market-based initiatives to grow demand for FSC-certified products.
It was presented during Week 4 of the NBSAP Forum - UNDP - CBD - TNC 'Greening Consumption and Production' Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from 31 May through 12 July 2017.
