We would like to inform you about a set of new publications related to the biodiversity-related conventions. These are three compendia of guidance on:
1. Synergies among the biodiversity-related conventions at the national level
2. Capturing, managing and using biodiversity-related data and information
3. Key global databases related to the biodiversity-related conventions
Following their launch last month in Montreal at a side event held in the margins of the 2nd meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI-2) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), you can access them under the following link: https://www.unep-wcmc.org/resources-and-data/biodiversitysynergies.
The documents were developed under a joint UN Environment and CBD Secretariat project, funded by the European Union and the Governments of Switzerland and Finland. For more information on the project as well as future related work, you can consult the following SBI-2 information document: https://www.cbd.int/doc/c/1f69/9716/b534c3df787562ecf739e434/sbi-02-inf-13-en.pdf.
We very much welcome any feedback on the usefulness of the three compendia, including of course the flagging of any guidance material or global databases that we missed or should include in potential future updates!
Thank you very much!
