Presentation: The power to change the Earth system – and personal responsibility?

This presentation describes why and how scientists view our Earth as a system, and what that means for our understanding of global change processes and our capacity to intervene in them. The presenter, Dr. Sarah Cornell of the Stockholm Resilience Centre, describes the distinction between hitting limits and respecting boundaries, reflecting on biophysical processes, societal activities, and the role of knowledge and engagement in navigating sustainable pathways.
