The NBSAP Forum contains an extensive library of best practices related to developing and implementing NBSAPs. Our purpose is to enable countries to share and learn about effective, field-tested techniques and solutions. We work closely with our members to document the problem addressed, for whom, the primary actions, how they achieved results, and the solution they achieved.     The Smallholder Farmer’s Rural Radio Station (Farm 98.0 FM): Tune Into Innovation

    This best practice describes how rural Nigerian communities overcame a lack of communications infrastructure and began using radio to educate smallholder farmers on farming techniques and natural resource management. In Nigeria’s rural agricultural communities, the Smallholders Foundation (http://www.smallholdersfoundation.org) promotes sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation through educational radio programmes.

    The Science Express: Chugging Its Way To Conservation

    The Science Express project (http://www.sciencexpress.in), a unique science exhibition, is traveling across India to raise awareness about biodiversity, climate change and science. This 16-coach, air conditioned train is raising biodiversity awareness across India. Since the project’s inception in 2007, the train has traveled over 141,000 kilometers and received 15.6 million visitors. It is the largest, longest running and most visited science exhibition in India.

    Green Hub: Empowering Rural Youth To Tell The Story

    In the North-East Region (NER) of India, Green Hub trains local youth - rural and urban, to use digital media to tell stories about wildlife, the environment and indigenous knowledge.     The National Biodiversity Strategy And Action Plan (2015-2020)- Jordan

    The remarkable biodiversity of Jordan is a reflection of its varied physical characteristics which have yielded an unusual case of richness in landforms and biological diversity in terms of landscapes, ecosystems and species. At the intersection of three continents, Jordan encapsulates four bio-geographical regions: Mediterranean, Irano-Turanian, Saharo-Arabian, and the Sudanian Penetration. All four transform into 13 vegetation types which, in turn, embrace over 4,000 species of terrestrial, freshwater, and marine fauna and flora.
