Heena has over seven years of experience supporting the Government of India and UNDP on projects related to biodiversity conservation.

Heena holds a Master's degree in International Commercial Law, with a focus on business-environment conflicts, from the University of Nottingham, England. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Jamia Milia Islamia, India. Throughout law school, Heena interned with prominent Indian law firms, senior advocates, and the National Human Rights Commission of India on issues related to the environment, commercial, civil, and criminal laws.
