Vibhupriya is working as an Individual Consultant to United Nations Development Programme under the project titled, "Strengthening Natural Resource Management". She has in the past worked with UNDP in a Global Environmental Facility (GEF) supported project, implemented by UNDP and Government of India (GoI) entitled ‰ÛÏMainstreaming Conservation and Sustainable Use of Medicinal Plants Diversity in Three Indian States‰Ûù. Under the project, she has developed many Bio-cultural Community Protocols (BCPs) which involved documentation of customary laws and practices and traditional knowledge systems associated to biological resources. This entailed extensive field work in the rural India, multi-stakeholder consultation, literature review and gap analysis.
She also interned with Indian Council for Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), under the project titled, ‰ÛÏSustainable Land and Ecosystem Management (SLEM)‰Ûù.
She has worked with one of the leading infrastructure and finance companies (Infrastructure Leasing and Financing Services) as an Executive- Environment, dealing with Environmental Impact Assessment projects. She holds a Master‰Ûªs degree from The Energy and Resources Institute, India in Sustainable Development Practices and a Bachelor degree in Biotechnology.
